Look for parenting groups in the area you are moving to; they can often help you navigate the area and recommend parks and places to visit. Change your mailing address and alert your property manager or owner if renting following the terms of your rental agreement. You can fill out a change of address form at your local post office or online at www.usps.com.  

Research and find new doctors and dentists in your new community. Make sure they are accepting new patients, accept your health insurance and be sure to transfer your records. If you are changing insurers due to a new job, get those details in advance to make research easier by using their website to search.

Know where the nearest emergency room and urgent care centers are located. Is there a 24-hour vet nearby? Planning in advance can alleviate panic later. www.google.com/maps will aid in locating facilities.
